Josephine Gvora

Funeral service for Josephine (Wallencheck) Gvora, 96, of Willowick, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Michael J. Currier of the Body of Christ Community will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gvora passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Willoughby.

Born November 3, 1921 in Martin, PA, she has been a resident of Willowick for the past 62 years.

She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors are her beloved sons, Richard (Maureen) and Ronald (Terri) Gvora; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason (Molly), Justin (Katie), Ryan, Brendan and Nicole; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, June (Jim) Slapnick and Bill (Ellie) Wallencheck. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Ed Gvora and several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Peter, on February 21, 2014. Her parents, Tony and Anna (Marinch) Wallencheck and siblings, Lillian, Shiekie, Jeanette and Chuckie are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
