Josephine M. Johnston

Services for Josephine M. (Covey) Johnston, 83, of Willoughby, will be 10 AM on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Willoughby Baptist Church, 37927 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. David J. Wojnarowski will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Johnston passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born April 7, 1930 in Jonesville, VA, she has lived in Willoughby for the past 58 years.

She was a member of Willoughby Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and enjoyed genealogy.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Rodger) Ashburn of Madison, Curtis (Sharon) Johnston of Auburn Twp., Brenda (Ken) Havel of Harpersfield Twp. and Sandy (Cliff) Johnston-Foltz of Willoughby; grandchildren: Katie (John), Scott (Cindy), Mike (Sarah), Cody and Noah and great-grandchildren: Fiona and Aurora. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1994. Her parents, Alfred and Osa Covey, three brothers and one sister are also deceased.
