June L. Daniels

Memorial services for June L. Daniels, 93, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at The Lyons Chapel at Nason Center of Breckenridge Village, 36859 Ridge Road, Willoughby.

Mrs. Daniels passed away Thursday, December 04, 2014 at Fairmount Health Center.

Born October 13, 1921 in Norton Hill, New York, she has resided in Willoughby since 1946.

She was a United States Army Air Force veteran serving during World War II where she served as a nurse.
She was a member of the Veterans Administration and Creative Artists Association. She was also a local artist for many years receiving a Blue Ribbon at the Cleveland Institute of Art for one of her works.

She was known throughout Lake County as the “Silhouette Lady” cutting silhouettes by hand at the Great Lakes Mall. In 2009 she was honored by the city of Willoughby for her pen and ink drawings which hang in the lobby of the municipal building. She was a former member of Willoughby United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Terry V. Daniels and Thomas A. (Marcia) Daniels of Willoughby, Jeffrey M. (Theresa) Daniels of Medina, and Dennis W. (Kim) Daniels of Moreland Hills; daughter, Debra K. (John) Golebiewski of Connecticut; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and sister Mary E. Daniels of Willoughby.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles M. Sr. and Ethel (Pearce) Mead; brothers Charles M. Mead, Jr. and Warren P. Mead.
