June 30, 1926 — June 29, 2017

June M. (Adams) Sydow, of Willoughby, passed away June 29, 2017 at her home.
Memorial services will be held at the Lyons Chapel at the Nason Center of Ohio Living Breckenridge Village, 36859 Ridge Road, Willoughby on July 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM. The Rev. Beverly L. Wrobel of Mentor United Methodist Church will officiate at the service.

June was born in Barton, VT to Frank and Edith Adams on June 30, 1926. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1944. She then attended Oberlin College and graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College where she met her beloved husband, Arthur C. Sydow, Jr.

She was employed as a vocal music teacher in Vermont, New Hampshire and at the Walnut Street School in Painesville, Ohio.

June was a member of Mentor United Methodist church where she was active in Women’s Circles and a former director of the Bell Choir. She was also a past president of the former Mentor Women’s Club.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur; son, John Sydow; daughter, Lynn (Marcus) Lehto and grandchildren, Samantha and Graydon Lehto.

Besides her parents she was preceded by her son, Stephen Sydow; brother Graydon Adams and sister Frances Stone.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Mentor United Methodist Church Music Fund, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060.

Arrangements entrusted to Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby.
