Karen D. Carney

Services for Karen D. (nee: Putman) (Plough) Carney, 47, of Mentor, will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Grace Church of Mentor, 6883 Reynolds Road, Mentor.

Karen passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born December 14, 1967 in Euclid, she was a lifelong Mentor resident.

Karen attended Prince of Peace Church and was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Willowick. She loved baking and decorating pastries, playing the piano and music, and most especially spending time with her family.

She was employed as a medical leave specialist at Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village.

Survivors are her husband of eight years, Michael E. Carney; daughters, Brittany and Brandie Plough; parents, Ken and Carol (Baker) Putman, Sr. of Concord Township; brother, Kenneth (Mary) Putman, Jr. of Eastlake, and niece, Robin Putman. She also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Wednesday.
