Karl A Lang

Services for Karl A. Lang, 83, of Mentor, will be held at 5 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, prior to the non-denominational services.

Committal services and interment will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, near Rittman.

Mr. Lang passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born July 15, 1932 in Willoughby, he was a lifelong Lake County resident and spent several winters in Florida.

He was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Euclid Veterans Association and many other veterans’ organizations. He also enjoyed stock car racing, traveling and entertaining at his home.

Mr. Lang was employed as a milkman for more than 50 years, with the former Euclid Race Dairy.

Survivors are his daughter, Valerie (William) Howe of Chelmsford, MA and son, Jeffrey (Nancy) Lang of Harpersfield Township; grandchildren, Shannon (Matthew) Poce, Sara (Rob) Ackerman, Vincent (Kristin) Hickman, Kristin Lang and Dustin Lang; 10 great-grandchildren and sister, Fay (Edward) Hendricks of Willowick. He also leaves his step-sons, Jim (Marianna) McDonald and Brian McDonald and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma in 1995 and his son, Phillip in 2008. His sister, “Babe” Heinz is also deceased.
