Kathleen Ann Smith

Kathleen Ann “Kathy” (Sienkiewicz), Smith, age 72, of Willoughby, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021, surrounded by her family.

She was the devoted wife of 51 years of Gerald; loving mother of Ronald (Wendy), James and Sheryl; cherished grandmother of Julia and Peyton. She is also survived by a host of aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.

After raising her children, Kathy worked as a cashier until retirement but still found time on her days off or after work to spend quality time with her granddaughters. Whether it was hours spent at McDonalds, a local park or playground, Kathy gave up her free time willingly and with love. She loved spending time with her family, going on weekend trips to the casino with her husband and “babysitting” her grand-dog, Shiloh. We all now know that Kathy was the rock and foundation that held this family together. Always there for others, always available, and always willing to forgive and start anew.

Kathy had a bright and friendly smile that would light up the room. She touched the lives of so many people and made everyone feel comfortable with her outgoing personality and genuine heartfelt love.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Theresa (Propel).

A memorial to honor Kathy’s life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November11, 2021 at the Davis-Babcock Funeral Home located at 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. Masks are optional.
