Klaus D. Heckelmann

Klaus Dieter Heckelmann, 83, of Willoughby, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born May 11, 1939 in Frankfurt, Germany, he has lived in Lake County for the past 50 years.

A workaholic, he especially enjoyed his vacations.

Klaus was employed as a tool and die maker for more than 45 years, at various companies, including Ardcor, Inc. in Willoughby.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Ilona (Marksz) Heckelmann; his sister, Marga Lutz and his son, Bernt and his family in Germany. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentine and Magdalena (Barthel) Heckelmann, his brother, Bernhard and his sister, Lieslot.
