Private family services have been held for Larry C. Westin, 81, of Mentor.
Mr. Westin passed away peacefully at his home, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, surrounded
by his family.
Born April 28, 1943 in Painesville, he was a lifelong Lake County resident, but for a
couple years during his United States Coast Guard Service and a few years living in
New Orleans, LA.
He was a graduate of Mentor High School, class of 1961. He enjoyed golf, bowling, attending auctions and collecting antiques. In his younger years he enjoyed woodworking and creating artwork with stained glass. He also enjoyed the Golden Girls and Barney Miller.
Mr. Westin was employed as a rate auditor at Commercial Traffic from 1970 until he retired in 2014, with the exception of the 8 years in New Orleans working for Colonial Sugar.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Diane (Keleman); daughter, Catherine (Ken) Blaney
and son, Mike Westin and grandchildren, Aaron, Rebekah and Cassandra Blaney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Eleanor (Heinz) Westin and his
brother, Donald Westin.
Private family interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
