Laura June Williams was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 14, 1932. She joyfully entered heaven, greeted by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2021.
She was the daughter of Charles and Mollie Greene of Kirtland, Ohio, and attended Kirtland schools where she was valedictorian of the class of 1950. Upon graduation, she enjoyed working in downtown Cleveland at Louisville Title Company and finished her working career as an employee of 27 years with Ferro Corporation in Bedford, Ohio.
Laura moved to Hudson, Ohio, in 1968 where she made a loving home with her two children. She was an active member of Hope Community Church in Hudson and cherished her wonderful friendships over the years, especially their Care Group “Young at Heart.” Laura loved when they’d meet and have Bible studies and share delicious food with rich fellowship.
She was a voracious reader and always said her favorite thing to do in her spare time was to read a good book. She passed along her love of reading to her two children, and was a devoted mother and friend.
Laura is survived by her children, Lucinda (Perry) Roberts and Scott Williams. She especially loved her grandchildren, Alease (Brandon) Kuntz, Jared (Libby) Roberts and Lauren (John) Davison and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Aurora Kuntz and Charles Davison. Laura is also survived by her beloved sister, Barbara (Greene) Legros; niece, Lucille Legros and nephew, Emile Legros and her brother, Albert (Joanne) Greene. Laura always lovingly remembered dear family friend, Larry Verbiar and his family and Hope Community Church friends Barb Crawley and Marsha Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mollie Greene; her sister, Helen (Greene) Youngblood and brothers-in-law, Emile Legros and Robert Youngblood.
A special “Thank You” to Emerald Bay Memory Care, their dedicated staff (especially April, Mary, Maddie, Christin, Megan, Ashley, Angie, Kayla and Shawn) in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for their wonderful, kind and caring support these past few years. The family also wants to thank Heartland Hospice and the wonderful support from Patti, Amy, Marsha and Chaplain Josh, as well as Synergy Medical Services and Dr. James Williams.
