She worked on a Master’s degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois. In the 1950’s and 60’s she taught elementary school, reared a family and became a Director of Christian Education at Elyria United Methodist Church.
She married her second husband, Arthur P. Armington, on January 11, 1969 and shortly settled in Lake County. For many years she was member of the Textile Arts Alliance of the Cleveland Art Museum and served on the Fine Arts Association of Willoughby Board of Trustees and Women’s Committee.
In her later years she switched from sewing and design of textiles to painting watercolors. Her artwork has been displayed at the Cleveland Art Museum, the Fine Arts Association, Kirtland Public Library, Breckenridge Village and Ohio Living’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Also, she believed very strongly in giving back to the community as a volunteer and philanthropist. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Willoughby and lived quite a few years at Ohio Living, Breckenridge Village.
