Lois M. Augustitus

Services for Lois M. (Shunkwiler) Augustitus, 81, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Augustitus passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services in Willoughby.

Born January 1, 1933 in Willoughby, she was a lifelong Willoughby resident.

She was a graduate of the former Willoughby Union High School, class of 1951, and has remained very active and involved in her class alumni activities through the years. She was also a lifelong member of Willoughby United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Augustitus was employed by the City of Willoughby before joining the Lake County Department of Utilities, where she was employed for 17 years, retiring in 1996.

Survivors are her daughters, Linda (Jim) Ober of Hudson, Sandy (Gary) David of Macedonia and Susan (Michael) Radovanic of Concord Township; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Megan) Ober, Sgt. Michael Radovanic, Randi Radovanic, Ryan Augustitus, Kyle Augustitus and Sarah Augustitus and great grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Ober. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Sharon Augustitus of Willoughby and many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Augustitus, Sr., on December 20, 1997 and her son, Robert Augustitus, Jr. on March 21, 2002. Her parents, Donald and Vivian (Spencer) Shunkwiler and brother, William Shunkwiler are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the funeral home. The Rev. Donald R. Perks of Willoughby United Methodist Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Willoughby Cemetery on Monday, following the service.
