Lois J. Stein

A Graveside service for Lois J. Stein, 97, of Kirtland, formerly of Mentor and Euclid, will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Acacia Masonic Memorial Park, 1880 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124.

Lois died peacefully in her sleep March 8, 2016 at Golden Living Center – Western Reserve in Kirtland.

Born March 6, 1919, in Cleveland to Floyd and Ethel (Jennison) Stein, Lois grew up to be an independent young lady in Euclid prior to moving to Mentor in the mid 1980’s.

She graduated from Euclid Shore High School in June of 1937 and from Dyke School of Commerce in July of 1938. Lois worked at Addressograph-Multigraph for the duration of her career as Assistant to the Corporate Treasurer. She was active in the Euclid Historical Society and enjoyed her time spent on the family farm in Leroy Township.

Lois was an avid reader and enjoyed making jewelry, and refurbishing furniture and other family treasures. Her creativity could be seen in all that she did, from her uniquely wrapped gifts to the personal letters she wrote family members and friends.

Lois is survived by her three nephews, Harry G. Fishleigh III of Kirtland, Floyd (Amy) Fishleigh of Parker, Colorado and William (Debra) Fishleigh of Perry; grand-nephews and nieces Michelle (Bob) Gonzalez of Painesville Twp., William (Tammy) Fishleigh of Amherst, Harry G. (Ashlee) Fishleigh, IV of Salt Lake City, Utah, Patricia (Brian) Gortner of Wooster, Steven Fishleigh of San Francisco, California, Annie Fishleigh of Ashland, Ronald Fishleigh and Jane Fishleigh of Parker, CO; great-nephews Colton and Mitchell Fishleigh of Amherst; and Charlie and Sam Fishleigh of Wooster, and her cousin Audrey Relyea of Fort Worth, Texas and Whitefield, Maine.

Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Faye S. Fishleigh, and her parents, Floyd and Ethel Stein.

There will be no calling hours.
