Funeral services will be Friday at 10 AM at the Davis-Babcock Funeral Home for Lorene Marie (Kisthardt) Voelker of Madison who passed away on February 11, 2016 at Kindred Traditional Care in Painesville. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Henry John and Marie (Louis) Kisthardt on June 22, 1930, Lorene grew up in Euclid, attending Euclid Shore School from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1948.
She was a long standing member of Concord Garden Club, loved her flowers, all manner of handwork and crafts, collecting stamps, collecting artwork done by her nephew Gary Alan Bukovnik of CA, and corresponding 71 years with her English pen pal Jennifer Blenkinsop. One of her most recent interests has been membership in the Red Hat SINderellas of Saybrook Twp. Survivors are her sons, Stewart Earl of Grand River; Charles Robert of Mentor; Deanne Marie (Wm.) Drenik of Harpersfield; and Lou Doris (Donald) Jackson of Worthington; grandsons Benjamin (Sarah) Drenik, Alden Earl Voelker; and Kenneth Harold Jackson; and great granddaughter Averi Drenik; great grandsons Keagan, Graeson and Beckham Drenik; and brother Henry George (Eileen) Kisthardt of Sun City Center, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, her parents, sister, Betty Jane Bukovnik and grandson, Justin Voelker. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 PM at the DAVIS-BABCOCK FUNERAL HOME, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 69 Pearl St., Painesville 44077, or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland 44110-9915.
