Lynn R. Dieter

Lynn Robin Dieter, age 78, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025, at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a dedicated provider for his family.

Lynn, a Vietnam veteran, served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1968.

He loved working on cars and had a long career in the auto body industry. His work ethic and dedication were unmatched, and he was highly respected among his peers. In his spare time, Lynn enjoyed fishing, boating, and Corvettes.

Lynn was a born-again Christian and will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

He was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Ruth (Pearson) Dieter; daughters Karen (Greg) Linton, Gail (Kevin) Schrum, and Annette (Corey) Oliver; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Taylor), Eric, Ryan, Jack, and Anna; and great-grandson, Myles. Also surviving are his brothers Dale (Nikki) Dieter, Erle (Mary) Dieter, and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edith Dieter, and his brother Wade.

A private, family funeral will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

Lynn’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Heroes Harbor Hospice staff at the VA Medical Center for the care and support they provided during this time.
