Mabel Alberta Tokarz

Memorial services for Mabel Alberta (Householder) Tokarz, 91, of Eastlake, will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tokarz passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 in Mentor.

Born April 5, 1931 in Toronto, Ohio, she met her late husband, Henry, when he came through her grocery checkout line several times before he asked her out for a cup of coffee. They married in 1973 and she has lived in Eastlake since then.

She had many loyal friends, and Church work was important to her. She liked to visit shut-ins and send get well cards; she led Bible study and enjoyed lifting others up in the nursing home.

Survivors are her daughters, Diane Rogers, Shirley (Chris) Cameron and Sharon (Jim) Amundsen; daughter-in-law, Cathy Rogers; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and sisters, Verna Bieri and Cindy (Allen) Shearer. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Tokarz in 1999 and her son, David M. Rogers in 2022. Her parents, Charles and Jessie Householder, sisters, Joyce Patterson and Carol Koning and brother, Bob Householder are also deceased.

Private family burial was in the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Ohio.
