Manfred W. Ruhe

Manfred Ruhe, beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend and neighbor went to be with God on April 21, 2022. He passed while in Hospice care with loving family all around him.

Manfred was born July 19, 1940 in Germany, and immigrated from Unna, Germany to Cleveland, Ohio on February 2, 1964 with his wife Elke and 11-month-old son, Joachim. His son, Thomas was born on Father’s Day in 1966, and his daughter, Tatjana was born of Manfred’s birthday in 1967. The family lived in Cleveland for five years, Willoughby for nine years, Eastlake for forty years, and in Painesville for the last four years.

Professionally, Manfred was an industrial manager in Germany and worked as a mold maker for Teledyne Efficient Industries for over 33 years. He retired in 1997.

Manfred enjoyed stamp collecting, fishing, golf, and was an accomplished woodworker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elke. He is also survived by his son, Joachim (wife, Kris (nee: Duricky), their children, Alexander, Rachel, and Daniel; his son, Thomas (wife, Jacci (nee: Stern), their children, Nikolai, Nina, and Anna), and his daughter, Tatjana (husband, Dr. Rishad) Faruqi, and their children, Rhonin and Riona.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends at a later date.
