With heavy hearts, we announce that Margaret Bennett Dodds, age 81, quietly drew her last breath on December 28, 2024, in Willoughby, Ohio, with her devoted husband by her side.
Born on July 4, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, Margaret filled her years with love, laughter, and friendship.
Margaret shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Harry Dodds, Jr. Together, they created a warm and loving home, and their children, Fallon Dodds and Tiffany Parks, were her pride and joy. Nothing brought her more happiness than her three beloved grandchildren, Aidan Seyler, Brody Parks, and Maggie Ores. Their presence brought light to her life and filled her heart with warmth.
A lifelong learner and passionate reader, Margaret was always curious about the world around her. Her creative spirit thrived through her hobbies, where she happily collected yarn and notebooks, dreaming of the projects she would create. She loved the theatre and arts, and had an eclectic musical taste. Margaret was widely known for her kindness, generosity, and loving nature, leaving a positive impact on everyone who crossed her path.
A firm believer in Christ, Margaret was an active and joyful member of Grace Episcopal Church Willoughby, where she found comfort and strength in her faith. Her commitment to her family, her community, and her beliefs were central to who she was, and her legacy of love and faith will live on in those who were blessed to know her.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who will miss her deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you celebrate Margaret’s legacy by enjoying some Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream or a perfect Manhattan up with a twist. Wear something colorful, because Margaret loved a good pattern.
A memorial service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2 PM. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM, prior to the service, at the Church. Family and friends are invited to attend and share in the celebration of her life.
