Margaret G. Mattia

Services for Margaret G. (Weightman) Mattia, 73, of Willoughby, will be at 4 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald R. Perks of Willoughby United Methodist Church will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Mrs. Mattia passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Born April 18, 1941 in Jeannette, PA, she has lived in Eastlake and Willoughby for the past 55 years.

She was an avid BINGO player and also enjoyed playing all kinds of card games and visiting casinos.

Mrs. Mattia was employed as a finisher at PCC Airfoils in Wickliffe. She retired in 2005 after more than 25 years of service.

Survivors are her daughters, Martina (Hans) Hauge, Margaret (Bob) Neibert and Melinda Mattia, all of Willoughby, and Melanie (Chris Jones) Mattia of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan and Cameron Hauge and great-grandson, Camden “Bubbie” Hauge. She also leaves her step-son, David Schultz, two brothers and one sister and their families, all of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin R. Mattia on February 19, 1995. Her parents, George and Margaret Weightman and three sisters are also deceased.

Private family burial will be held in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
