Margaret Mortimer

Services for Margaret (Henk) Mortimer, 100, of Mentor, will be at 1 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Mortimer passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born January 2, 1914 in Mantua, she had lived in Willoughby and Mentor, before retiring to Port Orange, FL where she resided for 30 years. She returned to Ohio in 1999, to be closer to her family.

Survivors are her son Robert Henk of Mentor; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and sister, Vivian Beach of Kirtland.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gustav Henk in June 1971; her second husband, Thomas Mortimer, in December 1998; her son, Carl Henk in 2002; her daughter-in-law, Marjorie Henk in 2010; her grandchildren, Becky Greaves and Tom Henk and great-grandchildren, Coewen and Matthew Henk. Her parents, Otto and Lena (Bishop) Krohn and brothers, Leonard, Lyle and Howard Krohn are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Russell E. Martin will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
