Marilyn D. Siskind

Services for Marilyn D. (nee: Schiavoni) (Taylor) Siskind, 69, of Mentor, will be at 10 AM on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Shoregate United Methodist Church, 30500 Bayridge Boulevard, Willowick.

Mrs. Siskind passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Cleveland Clinic.

Born April 5, 1943 in Cleveland, she has lived in Mentor for the past 40 years.

She was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in Mentor and attended Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick. She was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed biking, line dancing, ceramics, crocheting and playing cards with the “Golden Girls.”

Mrs. Siskind worked at several local manufacturing companies, and also had owned her own ceramic shop.

She is survived by her husband of nine years, Martin Siskind; children, Deborah J. (Kenneth) Kocsis of Mentor; Timothy D. (Mary-Beth) Taylor of Cleveland; Robert A. Taylor of Florida; Brenda R. (Michael) McLaughlin of Wickliffe, Terry A. (Bill) Gorka of Mentor, Tami (Barney) Carthen of Leroy Twp., and Scott (Beth Ann) Siskind of Monument, CO; grandchildren, Eric, Dana, Ciara (Andrew), Grant (Amanda), Honey (Kevin), Shawn, Tanna, Collin, Shannon, Kyle, Billy and Jacquele, Bonder, Nicholas, Jessica, Adam, Collin and Mckenzie; great-grandchildren, Mason and Braden. She also leaves her siblings, Ronald, Kathleen, James, Joseph, Nina, Toni and their families.

Her first husband, Herbert D. Taylor, passed away August 26, 1995, after 30 years of marriage. Her parents, Anthony and Mary Schiavoni are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.

As an organ donor, Marilyn gave a gift of sight. The family encourages contributions to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611.
