Marjorie L. Bixel

Marjorie Lee Bixel (nee Wells) of Willoughby, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, with her children by her side.

Midge graduated from the former Willoughby Union High School, class of 1956. It was there that she met the love of her life, Lanny Bixel. They married on November 24, 1956 and had 64 wonderful years together.

Midge worked as a secretary throughout her life, but her top priority was always her family. She was a lifelong sports fan, enjoyed gardening, and especially loved all of her rescued dachshund friends.

Midge is survived by her sons, Ron (Janice) Bixel and Mike (Beth) Bixel; daughter, Diane (Mark) Trubiano; grandchildren, Ashley (Cullen) Harris, Alyssa Bezanson, Chelsea (Joe) Haglage, Tyler (Holly) Bixel, Kaia (Alex) Stair, Michael (Liz) Bixel, Max (Samantha)Trubiano, and Margo Trubiano; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Paisley, Keegan, Beckett, Oaklyn, Mia, Jensen, and Walt; and her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Joan Wells.

Midge was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny; her parents, Walter and Florence Wells; her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Tom Jessup; and in-laws, H. Wayne and Dorothy Bixel.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, in Midge’s memory, the family encourages contributions to your local food bank or your favorite animal rescue group.
