Marlene A. DePledge, 88, of Eastlake peacefully passed away early Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the home of her daughter, Kim.
Born in Cleveland on August 16, 1933, she had been a resident of Eastlake most of her life.
Marlene enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, casinos, playing the lottery and garage sales. In her final weeks she was happy to be cared for by her grandson Ryan, daughter Kim and special friend Beverly Zedonis.
She will be missed by her son, William Jr. (Debbie), daughters, Sheryl, Laura and Kim; grandchildren, Danielle, William III, Allison, Ryan and David, sister, Bonnie Licht, niece, Melissa Toppings (Michael) and nephew, Jeffery Licht (Aubrey).
She was a dispatcher for the Eastlake Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1989.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, William Sr., parents, Rudy and Molly Champa, brother, Gerald Champa and fur babies Bear and Sassy.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, followed by a short service at 7:00 p.m.
