Mary Jane Oaks

Services for Mary Jane (Speak) Oaks, 72, of Eastlake, will be at 11 AM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Oaks passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born April 12, 1940 in Rose Hill, VA, she has lived in Eastlake for the past 37 years.

She enjoyed planting flowers to make her yard pretty.

Mrs. Oaks was employed by Worthington Precision Metals in Mentor. She retired in 2010 after 37 years of service.

Survivors are her daughters, Linda S. (Mark) Durst and Cheryl A. Oaks and granddaughter, Tia M. Simmons, all of Eastlake; sisters, Elsie Baldauf and Cleo Treece and brother, Arville Speak. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

Her husband, William P. Oaks, passed away October 10, 2010. Her parents, Morgan and Mossie Speak, sisters, Loretta Gordenier, Judy Smallwood, Ruth Gulley, Beulah Green and brothers, Lyle Speak and Earl Speak are also deceased.

The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village.
