Max B. Hissam

Memorial services for Max B. Hissam, 79, of Wickliffe, will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2 PM.

Mr. Hissam passed away peacefully on December 29, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Born December 2, 1935 in Hacker Valley, WV, he has lived in Lake County for more than 50 years, the past 22 years in Wickliffe.

He was an United States Air Force veteran and an avid Cleveland sports fan. He loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed picnics by the river with his friends and family.

Mr. Hissam was a drywall foreman by trade.

Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Peggy Sue (Clark) Hissam; daughters, Evon Hissam (Ken) Moles and Robin Hissam (Dick) Swearingen and son, Michael (Patricia) Hissam, all of Madison; granddaughters, Ashley Moles (Drew) Reeder and Bethany Moles and great grandsons, Colin and Luke Reeder. He also leaves his sister-in-law, June (Fred) Taylor, her daughter, Lisa (Dave) Miller and their children, Taylor and Brooklynne Miller and many other nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmer and Nergie (Cowger) Hissam, brother, Delbert Hissam and sisters-in-law, Joany and Marilyn.
