Services for Maxine D. (Foley) Eberling, 86, of Mentor, a homemaker, will be at 10 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mrs. Eberling passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born September 10, 1927 in Cleveland, she has lived in Lake County for more than 61 years.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading books about cats and first ladies.
Survivors are her sons, Frank D. (Carol) Eberling and Gary L. (Dar) Eberling, both of Mentor; grandsons, Frank R. (Lindsey), Joseph A. and Brian S. Eberling; great-grandson, Tyler S. Eberling and brother, Edward D. (Ann) Foley of Garfield Heights.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Frank C. Eberling in 2007. Her parents, Henry G. and Thelma (Gladden) Foley are also deceased.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the funeral home. The Rev. Gerald Matzke of Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery, following the service on Saturday.
