Melinda Hankins

Memorial services for Melinda (Gumore) Hankins, 68, of Euclid, will be at 11 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, prior to the memorial service, at the funeral home.

Melinda passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024.

Born July 4, 1955 in Painesville, she was raised in Willowick, graduated from Eastlake North High School, class of 1973, and has lived in Euclid for the past 39 years.

She was an avid Cleveland Indians (not Guardians) fan. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, baking the best Christmas cookies, acting in community theatre productions, loved traveling, especially Florida and Disney World, visiting casinos and fishing in Canada.

Melinda was employed as a graphic artist at the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) in Cleveland. She retired in 2004 after 30 years of service.

Survivors are her husband of 34 years, Scott Hankins. She also leaves her niece, Donna Panetta; nephew, James Kuyon; best friend, Jane Morgan and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Donna (Karl) Gumore and her sister, Marguerite “Meg” Kuyon.

Final resting place will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park following the service on Friday.
