Michael E. Ward

Mr. Ward passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home in Euclid.

Born March 3, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio he was a graduate of Rhodes High School. He went on to earn a degree in Mathematics with a minor in History from Purdue University.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby (nee: Vipperman) Ward, and Johnnie Ward; sisters, Judy (nee: Ward) Shelton, Geneva (nee: Ward) Artis and Kathleen Ward; brothers, John David Ward and Raymond Ward and his beloved cat, Nike.

Michael is survived by his cherished wife and partner of 33 years, Belinda J. Ward (nee: Gromley); children, Jason (Destiny) Artis, and Karla (Chad) (nee: Ward) Lupson; great-nephew, Shane Lupson; stepson, Jason (Chrystal) Webb; brothers, Steve Ward, and Wayne Ward; nieces, Kimberly (Brandon), Kristen (Stephen), and Rachel; nephews, Joshua (Heather), and Justin; esteemed apprentice, Chris “Fuzzy” (Jessica).

Infamously, “Uncle Mike” to all who knew him, he loved reading, video games, and technology of any kind. His love for computers and programming was exceeded only by his love for BJ. He leaves behind a legacy of embracing others and treating friends like family.

In accordance with his wishes, Michael will be cremated. A small gathering for friends and family will be scheduled nearer to his 60th birthday.
