Michele D Varanese

Mass of Christian Burial for Michele D. “Mike” Varanese, 82, of Willowick, will be 11 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland.
Family will receive friends from 10- 11 AM Wednesday, prior to the mass at the church. Social distancing protocols will be enforced and masks are required.
Mike passed away peacefully April 20, 2021, with his loving family by his side. Born September 24, 1938 in Campolieto, Italy, him and his family moved to Cleveland in 1982.
Mike was very involved in raising his grandchildren and loved every minute of it. He loved his home country, soccer, drawing, and spending time with his family. Mike will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and childlike personality.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anna M. (Cirino) Varanese; daughters, Cesira (Kel) Varanese and Debora (Sean) Forkins; grandchildren, April (Charles) Maxey, T. Jay Moore, Marisa (Jeff) Flach, DJ and Nina Dunning, and Harley and Cailyn Forkins. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenico and Cesira (Zarrella) Varanese and brother, Roberto Varanese.
