Mildred C. Geis

Services for Mildred C. (Baker) Geis, 99, of Wickliffe, a homemaker, will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald R. Perks will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Geis passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Harbor Care Assisted Living in Fairport Harbor.

Bon January 21, 1913 in Cleveland, she was a former resident of Willoughby, Willoughby Hills and Chesterland, before moving to Wickliffe more than 40 years ago.

She was a member of Willoughby United Methodist Church and the former Master’s United Methodist Church in Euclid. She was also a member of the Willowick Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed square dancing and swimming.

Survivors are her son, Bayard G. Geis of Berkeley, CA and her brother, Robert Baker of Port St. Lucie, FL. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.

Her husband, Bayard G. Geis, passed away on February 11, 1978. Her parents, Rudolph and Bertha (Meyer) Baker; sisters, Hazel and Ruth and brothers, James and John are also deceased.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Final resting place will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village.
