Neal Pinkney

Graveside services and interment for Neal L. Pinkney, 58, of Leroy Twp., will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor. Please meet at Section 17, near the north end of the cemetery. Neal passed away Thurs., Aug. 2, 2012 at his home. Born August 28, 1953 in Cleveland, he has lived in Leroy Twp. for the past 23 years. He was master woodworker and served on the Willoughby Frontier Days' Committee for many years. He also served as a Special Officer with the Willoughby Police Department for seven years. Neal was employed as the Superintendent of Public Service for the City of Willoughby. He retired in June 2010 after 38 years of service. Survivors include his wife of six years, Beth (Faust) Pinkney; children, Sean and Brenna Pinkney, both of Leroy Twp.; Doug "Josh" Pinkney of Rome Twp. and Danielle Fitos of Willoughby. His brothers, Bruce (Sherri) Pinkney of Atlanta, GA; Robin (Jan) Pinkney of Mansfield, PA and Scott (Olga) Pinkney of Lorain, OH. He also leaves nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Jared, in 2001, and parents, Frank Robert and Felice (Chase) Pinkney. There will be no calling hours.
