Services for Norma J. (Platz) Bolton, 85, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM Monday, October 29, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 10-11 AM. Mrs. Bolton passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at her home. Born June 21, 1927 in Wickliffe, she was a lifelong Lake County resident. She was a member of Willo-Hill Baptist Church in Willoughby, where she worked in the day care and nursery for many years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, Scrabble, Yahtzee, painting and was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Blaine T. Bolton; children, Bonnie (Robin) Covic of Tucson, AZ, Paul (Linda) Bolton of Willoughby, Tim (Debbie) Bolton of Kirtland and Allan (Sherry) Bolton of Mentor; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Phillip (Mary) Platz and Nelson (Judy) Platz; sisters, Dorothy Clark, Carolyn Bowyer and Joan (Paul) Synenberg. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families. Her parents, Walter and Margaret (Lago) Platz, sisters, Louella Rynaski and Linda Ann Platz and brothers, Ken and Robert Platz are deceased. The Revs. Paul Bolton and Todd Bolton will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110-2602.
