A celebration of the life of Ouida Mae (Palmer) Tomko, 92, of Madison, will be from 2-6 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the home of her grandson, Jay Brown in Wickliffe.
Mrs. Tomko passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 on her 92nd birthday, at Altercare of Mayfield in Mayfield Village.
She was born January 14, 1921 in Willoughby, a daughter of the late Sidney and Josephine (Gray) Palmer.
After her retirement, she became a professional ballroom dancer and was known in the community as “Ouida the Diva.” She took pride in and maintained a strong sense of fashion.
Mrs. Tomko was employed in the offices at the former Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation in Euclid, retiring after 27 years of service.
Survivors include her children, Myrna Armstrong-Hess, Robert (Theresa) Iseman and Suzanne (William) Stewart; and 28 grand and great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Tomko; son, Barry Armstrong; her parents and her siblings, Mary Iseman, Anna Pennoyer and Richard Palmer.
There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend ‘thanks’ to the staff of Altercare of Mayfield and Vitas Hospice.
