Patricia A. Bonner

Patricia Ann Bonner, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023, under hospice care at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on December 12, 1933 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Michael and Anne (nee: Suchey) Koker.

After several moves earlier in life, she has been a resident of Mentor for over 50 years and was a longtime member of Mentor United Methodist Church.

Patricia was an exceptionally talented person; she loved cooking and baking and had a designer’s eye for decorating a home. She dearly loved her family and friends. She also enjoyed music, concerts, movies, theater, shopping and playing bridge. She achieved the rank of Sapphire Life Master in bridge with more than 4,200 master points. Patricia was a mentor, teacher and friend to many.

She was an angel sent to earth and the best mom anyone could imagine. She will be remembered as the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful and generous person you could ever know. Her smile would light up the room and all those around her. She touched so many lives and was loved by everyone who knew her; she will be deeply missed.

Patricia is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Davis Bonner; her dear brother, Michael (Jane) Koker; her daughter, Deborah (Joseph) Enzenberger; her sons, Mark (Cathy) Simko, Ken (Lisa) Simko and Matt (Sheryl) Simko; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and her former husband, Patrick (Janet) Simko.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor.

The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions be made in her name to Mentor United Methodist Church.
