Patricia Mclaren

Private family graveside services have been held at Mentor Cemetery for Patricia B. (Birkenhead) McLaren, of Concord Township. Mrs. McLaren passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born in Cleveland, she has lived in the Mentor and Concord Township area for the past 45 years. She enjoyed reading, sewing and was a former sewing instructor; but most of all she loved her pets. She was also a former breeder of Persian cats. Mrs. McLaren was employed as the secretary at the former St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Mentor for more than 30 years before her retirement. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Ronald O. McLaren; daughters, Carole L. (Thomas) McLaren of Mentor and Christine (Christopher) Smith and their children, Megan, Ian and Alexander, all of Dayton; her mother, Ruth (Heinz) Birkenhead of Concord Twp; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie J. McLaren of Denver, Colo
