Patricia A. Wardwell

A celebration of the life of Pat A. (Sampson) Wardwell, 70, of Willoughby, will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Pastor Jason D. Boggs of Erieside Church on the Boulevard will lead the celebration.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, prior to the celebration.

Pat passed away peacefully, surrounded in love by her family, at her home, on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Born May 30, 1954 in Cleveland, she has lived in Willoughby for the past 48 years.

She was the best mother to her kids, involved in everything they did.

Pat was employed as a property manager at the Shoregate Towers Apartments in Willowick. She retired in 2019, after 17 years of service.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Bill; children, Will (Sam) Wardwell, Amanda (Joshua) Robb and Craig (Lauren) Wardwell; grandchildren, Lily, Megan, Parker, Evelyn, Benjamin, Ethan and Elana and her siblings, twins Ray and Suzie Sampson and Val (Carl) Schmitz. Pat also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

Her parents, Edward and Marie (Vanni) Sampson, sisters-in-law, Maria Sampson and Jan Marsey and brother-in-law, Denny Wardwell preceded her in death.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
