Services for Peter A. Anguilano, 94, of Willoughby, will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Mentor United Methodist Church 8600 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Anguilano passed away Sunday December 21, 2014 at Louis Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland.
Born May 11, 1920 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby for the past 19 years.
Mr. Anguilano was a World War II United States Army Veteran and a P.O.W. in Germany from 1943-1945. He received a Purple Heart and Bronze Stars. He also received Prisoner of War Medal.
During his long lifetime, Peter enjoyed employment at six companies and continued working into his 90s.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Eileen (Scheidis); children, Gayle (Frank) Kish, Garry (Deborah) Anguilano, and Gerald (Kathleen) Anguilano; grandchildren, Erin (Spencer Humbles) Anguilano, Philip Kish, Joseph (Caroline) Anguilano, Jeffrey Kish and Michelle Mucerino; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Leo. He also leaves eight nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Lucy (the Fulton Rd. Pizza Lady); brothers, Anthony and Michael Anguilano; sisters, Rose Yannotty, Mary Lioce and Carmela Menninger.
Family will receive friends 2-5 P.M. Sunday at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery near Rittman, at a later date.
