Peter B. Mathews

Memorial services for Peter B. Mathews, 63, of Willoughby, will be at 3 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Michael J. Currier of the Body of Christ Community will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Mathews passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born January 19, 1954 in Rice’s Landing, PA he was a longtime Northeast Ohio resident.

He was a past president of the Cool Running Bass Club, Regional Director of Ohio Bass Federation and the
Sargent of Arms for the Misty Mountain Van Club. He loved fishing, water, cars, motorcycles and models.

Mr. Mathews was employed as a master technician for the Illuminating Company, retiring in 2016.

Survivors are his wife, Darla (Lesniok) Mathews; children, Adrienne Merrill (Tom Oldenburgh) and Tiffany (Josh) Work and grandchildren, Autumn and Michael. He also leaves his best friend and partner, Debbi Boutilier.

He was preceded by his parents, Robert and Cynthia (Diamond) Mathews.
