Services for Phillip G. Quick, 91, of Mentor, will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 AM on Wednesday, prior to the service.

Mr. Quick passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at his residence.

Born January 5, 1931 in Willoughby, he was a lifelong Lake County resident.

He was a United States Navy veteran, serving on the USS Samuel B. Roberts. He was also a member of the former Mentor Christian Church, First Christian Church of Willoughby and Willoughby Lodge 302 Free and Accepted Masons. The family loved to travel, camp and take cruises.

An avid Lionel train collector, he also shared his passion for trains with everyone. He was a former Cub Scout pack leader, loved to laugh, and will be remembered as big joker. He was a friend to all and had many lifelong friends from Mentor High School, class of 1950. He loved his wife and family immensely.

Mr. Quick was employed as a security guard at The Lubrizol Corporation in Painesville Township, retiring in 1996. He and his family also operated an antique business for several years at Antiques on the Square in Chardon.

Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Bobbie Jean (Grabeel) Quick; children, Phillip Gregory (Jeannie) Quick, Cindy (Gary) Johnson, Stephen (Cindy) Quick and Perry (Kirsten) Quick; grandchildren, Phillip, Bonnie, Nathan, Ben, Brittany, Corey, Adam, Daniel, Ann, Zach, Devyn, Beau and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Lily, William, Marilyn, Bo and Quinn. He also leaves his nieces, Linda Hood and Barb Baumgartner and nephew, Harvey White.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ethel (Spaulding) Quick; his sisters, Martha, Bertha, Jane and Anna Jean.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Wednesday.
