A Celebration Of Life for Rachel Kay Binns will take place Saturday 2/15 at 2 P.M at Rachel's childhood home in Concord, Ohio.
Rachel passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 1, 2025.
Born August 22, 1987 in Painesville, Ohio. She lived in Thompson, Ohio for 15 years.
She was adventurous and loved to spend her time outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, fishing, 4 wheeling, camping, kayaking, vacationing, listening to music and walking on the beach. She was exceptionally creative and bright and loved to take on new hobbies. She was a fantastic cook and baker.
She graduated High school in 2005, became a banker, got married and had her first son Matthew on June 28, 2016. Rachel was a stay at home mom for years. Becoming a mother was her greatest accomplishment and she loved being a mother. Her son Matthew was her world.
Rachel was very driven and nothing could ever stand in her way. No matter what life threw at her, she would always get back up.
Rachel was employed at Chardon Custom Polymers. She worked with a wonderful group of people and she enjoyed her job. She had her own dog sitting business on the weekends. Rachel had a love for animals and would also take care of farm animals. She was very proud at how much her business had grown. Rachel was a doTERRA wellness advocate and enjoyed educating people on the benefits of natural healing.
She is survived by her son, Matthew John Binns, her father Christopher Barta, her sisters Jamie and Megan Barta, her aunts and uncles, Barb Barrett, James Barrett, David Carlson, Diana Harasyn, Jim Barta, her cousins, Lyndsey Carlson, Jordan Carlson, Luke Carlson, Abagail Barrett, Briana Barrett, Alex Barrera, Gabriel King, Michelle Killin-Keith, James Nelson, Joe Nelson and previous spouse Ken Binns.
She was preceded in death by her mother Linda Kay Barta, her grandmothers Alice Ostrander and Linda Barta, her uncle Joe Barta and her aunts Marie Barrett and Sherry Carlson.
