Raqueal V. Seymour

Services for Raqueal V. Seymour, 37, of Mentor, will be at 7 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service.

Raqueal passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

Born August 27, 1987 in Michigan City, IN, she has lived in Mentor for the past 32 years.

She enthusiastically enjoyed streaming video games online for others to watch, and grew an amazing following. She was a graduate of Mentor High School, Class of 2006, where she was involved with theater productions and was a member of The Top 25 Vocal Group. She performed in the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild in 2014, when her health permitted. No Matter what life threw at her, she always got back up and kept going, out of spite if nothing else!

Raqueal was employed as an assistant manager at the Sheetz Store in Mentor-on-the-Lake.

She is survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Patricia (Swanson) Seymour; brothers, Joshua (Rachel) Sager, Timothy (Melissa) Seymour, Charles (Erin) Seymour and her sister, Anna (A.J.) Vehovec and her nieces and nephews, Ellie, Tobias and Alyss, as well as her significant other Lars Den Herder; all of whom adored her. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Gladys Swanson, and James and Velma Seymour.

Private family burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Freedom K9 Project. a small but impactful organization that trains service dogs for those who developed PTSD/cPTSD Every donation goes towards a dog being raised, vetted and trained specifically for each person without them having to pay a dime.
