Raymond T. Biederman

Memorial services for Ray Biederman, 83, of Willoughby, will be at 8 PM on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Social distancing and use of masks will be required at the funeral home, and occupancy limits may be observed.

Mr. Biederman passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 in at his home.

Born April 13, 1937 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby nearly 50 years.

He was a member of The International Longshoreman’s Association Local 1317. He enjoyed hunting and sports.

Mr. Biederman was employed as a longshoreman and mechanic for The Cleveland Stevedore Company for over 38 years.

Survivors are his sons, Thomas Kelley, Michael (fiancé, Alicia) Biederman, Gary Lee (Lorrelle) McElwain and Rick (Mary) McElwain; grandson, Christopher McElwain and sister, Janice Richard. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Judith, on February 19, 2021. His parents are also deceased.

Private family burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
