Raymond E. Wilson, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts we are announcing the passing of Raymond E. Wilson, age 80, of Mentor, Ohio. He passed away on November 14th, 2024 with his daughters by his side. He was born February 18th 1944 in Webster Springs West Virginia.

He was the loving father of Michelle Carter, Allison Molesky, and Courtney Clarke. Beloved brother of Dorothy Brewer, Helen Perry and Jean Burns. Cherished grandfather of Kailyn and Ellie Clarke, Ian, Rilynne and Adalyn Molesky. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his former wife, Susan Wilson.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Raymond E Wilson Sr and Wilma (Armentrout) Wilson and his infant son Raymond O. Wilson.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mentor. He loved to fish and hunt, but overall working was his passion. He was the proud owner of Allied Disposal, Wilson’s Landscaping and MAC Home Maintenance and Remodeling. He had a work ethic like no other. He showed his love by laughter, no matter where he was, you would find him telling jokes and making people laugh. He will be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held on December 2, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave Willoughby. Rev. Larry Pozza will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5pm - 7pm with the service to follow. A private graveside service will follow at Mentor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages loved ones to donate to their favorite charity in Ray’s honor.
