Richard D. Beattie

Private family services have been held for Richard D. Beattie, 75, of Eastlake.

Mr. Beattie passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Born February 18, 1948 in Lenoir, NC, he has lived in Eastlake for the past 47 years.

He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. He enjoyed golf, cornhole, cards, bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Beattie was employed as a production coordinator at The General Electric Corporation at Nela Park for 33 years, retiring in 2003.

Survivors are his beloved wife of 50 years, Nancy L. (Mates) Beattie; children, Robin (Jason Pitten) Isabella and Richard Beattie, Jr.; grandchildren, Mia Isabella, Sydney Isabella, and Karsen Pitten; and siblings Sharon (Roger) Aulicino and Wayne (Jean) Beattie; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruth (Helton) Beattie.
