Richard R. Brunkala

Memorial services for Richard R. Brunkala, 67, of Mentor, will be at 7 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM, prior to the service.
Mr. Brunkala passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born January 30, 1946 in Cleveland, he has lived in Mentor for the past 21 years.
He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Mentor.
Mr. Brunkala was a carpenter and handyman.
Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Valerie (Sarli) Brunkala; children, Rich Brunkala, Kim (Doug) Jones and Scott (Mary Haydu) Brunkala; grandchildren, Dan (Rebekah) Jones, Kelli Jones, Zac Brunkala, Emily Brunkala, Kaytlin Spelic and Hailey Brunkala; great grandsons, Nicholas, Vincent, Joey; sister, Betty Holbrook and brother, Joe (Karen) Brunkala. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Thelma Brunkala; his granddaughter, Jaimee Jones and grandson, Bryan Schiffbauer.
