Richard R. Garner

Services for Richard R. Garner, 63, of Painesville, will be at 7 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

The use of masks will be required while attending visitation or services.

Richard passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born February 20, 1958 in Cleveland, he was a lifelong Northeast Ohio resident, except for about ten years when he lived in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He enjoyed spending time with good friends, car racing and listening to country music.

Rick was employed as a pipefitter and welder by trade.

Survivors are his mother, Barbara Abplanalp; children, Melanie Coe, Dereck (Megan) Garner and Katherine (Ryan) Azzano; grandchildren, Pierce, London, Harrison, Courtney, Michaela and Alice Isabel and brothers, Robert and Rendell Garner. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Garner, and granddaughter, Hayden.

Private family burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville.
