Richard A. Strickland

Richard A Strickland, age 60, passed away suddenly on Tuesday November 21, 2023.

Rick was born on June 15, 1963 in Houston, Texas to Barbara and Walter Strickland.

He is survived by his parents, three children, Brittany Strickland, Nicholas Strickland and Danielle Dempsey (nee: Strickland), grandchildren, Mitchell and Ayden; sister , Jamie Strickland and the mother of his children, Janet Strickland.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Marie Hearn and Marvel and Walter Strickland.

Rick was always up to a challenge and excited to learn something new at every opportunity. He enjoyed all things technology and found joy tinkering with electronics, building model cars and being outdoors. You could count on catching him cracking a cold Labatt while watching a football game, playing dinosaurs with his grandsons or whipping the golf cart around the yard with his dog Weber.

He was known for always bringing jokes and sharing smiles everywhere he went. His absence will be filled with a lifetime of memories of the love and laughter he gave us all.

A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Friday December 1, 2023 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday, prior to the memorial service.
