Rita A. Good

Rita A. Good, age 83, of Euclid, died July 3, 2021.
Rita was the devoted mother of Paula (Isaac) Richards and Margaret
(Paul) Kuck; loving grandmother of Lauren, David, Gwen, Audrey, Annie,
Claudia, and Evelyn; dear sister of Fred Gier and John (Marge) Gier;
and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Good; parents, John
and Cecilia Gier; and siblings, Karl Gier and Mary (David) Neder.

Rita served as a Catholic nun for 16 years, teaching and serving as a
school principal. After leaving religious life she continued to teach. She
met her husband James and then took time off from teaching upon the
birth of their daughters. She returned to the workforce as a substitute
teacher and then school librarian for Noble and Thomas Jefferson
Elementary Schools in Euclid.

Rita was outgoing, independent, and easygoing. She was always ready
to help others on her own but also volunteered for many formal
programs, such as preschool and public school religion, Birthright, and
jail ministry. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
In her spare time Rita enjoyed spending time with family and friends,
reading, and sewing.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at
Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. A funeral
mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 19951 Lakeshore Boulevard, Euclid. Interment will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
