Robert L. Dickey, 91, of Concord Township, died peacefully on December 31, 2021 at his daughter’s residence in Sylvania, Ohio.
Born February 15, 1930 in Mentor, he lived there for 45 years before moving to Concord Township.
Robert “Bob” Dickey was a 1948 graduate of Mentor High School and a 1955 graduate of Fenn College with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Industrial Management. He was a machine shop foreman and supervisor for many years before becoming a tool and die maker where he could utilize his skills of making things with his hands.
He enjoyed sailing, gardening, and fixing anything around the house that needed repairing.
Survivors are his daughter, Patricia “Tish” (Philip) Michel of Sylvania and sons, Robert (Denine) Jr. of Medina and Brian of Chester Township; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Pauline (Harris) on January 12, 2014.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, where funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
