Robert W. Koles

Services to celebrate the life of Robert William Koles, 70, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Church.

Bob Koles went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital.

Born October 31, 1951 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby Hills for the past 20 years.

Bob was a graduate of Beachwood High School, class of 1969 and Purdue University, class of 1973. He was a member of Willoughby Hills Friends Church, the Single Again Alumni, and an avid swimmer, golfer and tennis player. He loved to travel and spent much of the month of March in Florida for the past five years.

Mr. Koles was employed as a senior customer service representative at Progressive Insurance, where he was known as a gentle and kind man. He celebrated 26 years of service in July 2021.

Survivors are his wife of 20 years, Lynne (Wilson); children, Mario Pica (Jennifer Peterson) and Heather (Alvaro) Torres; grandchildren, Alvaro Joseph (Mary) Kinney, Felix Ruiz DeJesus, Jr., Gerardo Torres, Kilara Torres, Luciano Torres, Kalina Torres, Penelope Huffman, Xavier Huffman, Cameron Peterson and Sebastian Peterson. He also leaves his uncle, William (Rusty Brown) Tanner and brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Koles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Dan and Carol (Tennenbaum) Koles and all other aunts and uncles.

Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery.
